Bechtel is one of the most respected global engineering, construction, and project management companies. For more than 70 years, Bechtel has worked in Africa on hundreds of projects. This history and global experience positions the company well to continue to support Africa to deliver the next generation of major projects.
Bechtel recently announced plans to open a regional Africa office in Nairobi, Kenya. This regional office reflects the company’s commitment to supporting Africa’s economic growth.
“Our new office in Nairobi presents an opportunity to focus on building stronger relationships with our customers and their communities,” said Andrew Patterson, Bechtel’s region president for Africa. “We are excited about creating a permanent presence in Africa to support our customers in delivering large infrastructure, oil and gas and mining projects.” Patterson will be based in Nairobi.
This means new employment, and community development opportunities, as well as a platform for cross cultural understanding for both local and incoming foreign workers.
